The Columbia Basin Bikers for Christ motorcycle club is sponsoring a charity run on July ???, 2012 to raise funds for Rod's House in Yakima.  Rod's House is a drop in center for homeless teens ages 14-21 and is helping the meet the needs of over 700 homeless teens in Yakima County.  We would love to have you join us if at all possible.

The Sean Vandenberg Memorial Ride

The 8th annual Sean Vandenberg Memorial Ride is a 100 mile road ride that begins and ends at the park in Touchet WA. The cost is $10.00. There is food and entertainment and a poker run for $5.00 each hand (no limit). The ride begins at 10:00 AM on July 10 2011. It benefits the Sean Vandenberg Memorial scholarship and Children's wishes and dreams. Camping is available if needed and is family orientated so bring the kids.

NW Ride of Dreams - West Ellensburg Park 1300-1700

Every two years since 1981, law enforcement agencies across the nation and Special Olympics have teamed up to raise funds for Special Olympics through the Law Enforcement Torch Run. The Northwest Ride of Dreams for Special Olympics Washington continues this association with Special Olympics Washington. It is a fundraising effort organized by law enforcement agencies from throughout the state that includes a procession of motorcycles followed by a festival-type celebration with a classic car show.

Motorcycles, both public and police, will stage at several primary starting points throughout the State and converge at the main event within an hour of each other. At the end of the procession, participants will interact with each other and have fun at the festival. The festival will include vendors, food, entertainment, a Special Olympics induction ceremony, raffles, and family friendly activities for all. All registered participants will receive a goody bag and 2010 Northwest Ride of Dreams t-shirt.

Because this event is being organized by law enforcement, there will be a large police presence at and surrounding the event, however, the public is welcomed and encouraged to attend as Special Olympics of Washington needs your involvement and support.

This is a charitable event with proceeds going towards a challenged child yet to be determined.

Saturday morning starts with the 3rd Annual Good SAM Ride, Tin Lilly BBQ & Beer Garden and an ALL day Coma Fest Concert Event in Don Morse Park, Chelan WA featuring Wide Eyed Coma and 6-8 other bands. There will be "Best in Ride" awards as determined by the registered riders, and a Saturday evening Social Hour featuring yet another cover band.

Sunday continues with a rider's breakfast followed by continued Coma fest Concert Artists, Bikers Rodeo and an on-site registration for "Show and Shine" best in show 2-wheel and 3-wheel with 50/50 award.

Tentatively we plan a 2-day Small Town Ink 509 Ink Convention featuring local artists from North Central WA.
