The SAMARITAN Riders are a charitable organization whose members and their families share an interest in motorcycling, and have an intrinsic calling to volunteer their time and services to their communities and as well as assist other charitable entities in their endeavors.

SROWA conducts Scheduled Rides throughout the season for our members. General Members are encouraged to contact each other frequently in the planning and coordinating of other “S&G” rides amongst themselves. These are the times to strengthen the bonds which have brought us together. They are encouraged as often as weather, season and mechanics allow. These rarely require formal scheduling and or bulletins.
SROWA participates in Charitable Events such as poker runs, picnics, parades, fund raisers and any other volunteer events are where we wish to make the difference in lending our helping hands. This is our opportunity as an organization to network; show our Respects; and earn our acceptance within the community and amongst other motorcycle affiliated entities.

SROWA attendance of Honorary Missions will be considered on a case by case basis. Memorial parades and services for fallen heroes; General Member engagements or crisis; and/or where a family requests our presence will be a high priority for the SAMARITAN Riders organization. Memorials dedicating monuments, bridges, streets, etc in the name of a local hero or veterans will likely be left to the discretion of individual members whom find importance in it.

The SAMARITAN Riders wish to express their whole hearted gratitude goes out to those who are currently serving in the police, fire and medical fields. SROWA also wishes a very special thank you to those fighting abroad for the freedom of others. We salute you and pray for your safe return home.
When members hear of such events, please notify their Vice President with the details. Or if you are looking to request SROWA for your event, please send your request to ContactUs@SamaritanRiders.org These will usually result in an e-mailed notification, assignment of a Ride Captain, and will be posted in the Brethren Bulletin Board.

PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS
We understand that if you wear a uniform - You have earned your patch with whatever professional agency you are a part of and have spent plenty of time already being the "NFG" - Actions speak louder than words. Whether you are a paid professional, a volunteer, or otherwise active in your community we will recognize your time spent for these efforts.
We respect all candidates and thank you for your time and interest in joining us. We would like to see up to six participations in our events or functions before considering you a candidate for Probationary Membership. This is not to exclude anyone from membership - It is merely an opportunity to conserve time and money (yours and ours) for those who are unsure if their lives and or schedules will allow them the freedoms to committ to the goals and principals of this motorcycle riding charitable organization.
We will ask that you fill out and submit our Application for Sponsorship. This includes a $15.00 nonrefundable administrative fee. The meetiand greet at which you submit the application will be your first "official" meeting, and you will be considered a Probationary Member.
You will be assigned a geographical sponsor and will spend time as a Probationary Member before being considered for Full Membership. As a Sponsored Probationary Member, you are asked to attend as many functions and events as your schedule allows. You should get acquainted with most if not all of our members. You are urged to make time to participate in all of our activities...
WE Prize Participation!
The length of a sponsored probationary period is dependent upon the prospective members’ participation in scheduled SROWA events and functions. Prospective Members who have demonstrated a commitment to the SROWA organization and its principles will be granted full membership when they are accepted by the General Membership by a majority vote after having completed a sponsored probationary period.
Your sponsored probationary period will also vary in length according to the calendar year versus remaining riding season. This process offers ample time to purposely allow you to consider your decision to join us. It also allows us to get to know you so we can be sure that we want you to join us.
- We do not "haze" or "defile" our Prospective Members - So, do not let our minimal probationary requirements deter you from joining!
Prospective / Probationary members are not allowed to vote at meetings. They may join in a discussion but have no vote. When approved for Full Membership, you will be expected to pay your initial dues in full before receiving the SAMARITAN Riders Back Patch ™.
Incentive Patches
The SAMARITAN Riders offer specific incentive patches as reward for active participation and demonstration of committment to our goals and principles. The Centurion Club patches are awarded for active participation in at least 100 various Charitable and Honorary events. This recognition patch will be worn above the Right Chest Pocket. Millennium Club Members are considered the SAMARITAN Rider elite. They are recognized for their participation in at least 1,000 various Charitable and Honorary events. The Millennium Club Patch replaces the Centurion Club Patch worn above the Right Chest Pocket.
These members are encouraged to attend the SAMARITAN Riders Master Charters' Board of Director sessions, which are normally closed to the general members. Here, their opinions and voices will be appreciated regarding club business. Centurion and Millennium Club Members are the only general members eligible to challenge the Changing of the Guard by nominating themselves for term office.
